Hello there! My name is Julian. I am a 27-year old half-Taiwanese, half-American guy currently living in Tokyo, Japan. I was born in Taipei, Taiwan, but have spent around half of my life living in California and the other half living somewhere in East Asia (Kaohsiung Taiwan, Hong Kong, and now Tokyo). Growing up in a household with my mother and father having really different backgrounds has made it easier for me to understand differences in culture, language, and the value of communication.

I started playing video games when my father handed me a Dreamcast controller when I was just two years old, with some of my first and most memorable games being racing titles like ReVolt, Test Drive 6, and San Francisco Rush 2049.
My next deep dive into video games came after I became infatuated with the Super Mario series (Paper Mario TTYD, Super Mario 64 DS, Super Mario Galaxy, etc) in elementary school.
I made my final (and current) dive into video games through Japanese role-playing games (JRPGs) after playing Etrian Odyssey IV and Fire Emblem: Awakening upon entering high school. These experiences have led to me loving racing games, Nintendo titles (especially Super Mario), and JRPGs.

Outside of video games, I like playing basketball, composing and playing music, and drinking & spending quality time with my friends and family. I’ve been playing violin, cello, and piano for a long while too!
